Pointing little hearts to Jesus, the hero of God's Big Story...

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

By proclaiming the gospel as the basis for a relationship with God, not our good behavior. The central message of God’s story is the good news that Jesus rescues us from sin and make all things new. If our children are going to walk authentically with God, we must present Jesus as the hero of the Bible. Only then will our children be empowered to live lives of moral beauty as a response to what God has done for them.

By providing a safe and loving environment our children can count on. Our goal is to do more than just babysit. We demonstrate God’s love through quality care with in-depth, age-appropriate teaching that point our children to Jesus. City Church Kids offers our children an opportunity to find belonging in a community of kids with whom they will play, grow, and discover God’s story. And ultimately fully participate in the community and mission of our church.

By partnering with parents in raising our children in the Christian faith. City Church Kids alone cannot make disciples of our children. This is ultimately the responsibility of parents who have the opportunity to model life in Jesus on a daily basis. But, to equip our children to live redemptively in the everyday stuff of life, we all need to be in this together as a church family.

WHEN DO WE DO THIS?

We offer a weekly children’s class during the sermon and scheduled children’s school of discipleship classes throughout the year.

Every Sunday, pre-registration is available prior to the worship service by using the Church Center app or the kiosk at the connect table. You can join the Church Center City Church Kids parent group here. Parents drop off children in the lower level, infant through 5th grade, during the greeting time right before the sermon.

Children are divided into 3 classrooms: Seeds (0-3), Sprouts (preK3-1st), and Roots (2nd-5th) for a family-style devotional with related learning activities. Parents pick up all children during the song immediately following the sermon, before the Lord’s Supper.

Children’s school of discipleship classes are offered several times a year on Sunday mornings before the worship service. These VBS-like classes focus on one theme at a time and encourage small group interaction. Our Sunday morning classes start at 9:00 a.m. and run concurrently with adult classes.

We are very excited to have you join us! Please contact Liz Chen with any questions.

Young people are not only the future of the church, they are vital members of the church today. With this in mind, our youth ministry exists to help students embody God's Story. If you are in 6th-12th grade, we want to walk alongside you in your spiritual journey as you ask questions about God and seek to live out your faith.

The youth ministry meets twice a month for fun outings, Bible studies, discussions, service projects, retreats, etc. For more information, contact our Youth Leader, Wayne Pansa.
